BAOR Living History Group

BAOR Living History Group

Crusader 80 BAOR Living History Group was formed in January 2008 to promote the preservation of British Army vehicles, uniforms and equipment, from the “Cold War” period of 1970 – 1991 British Army of the Rhine, Germany.

In 2011, it was decided that the Club should evolve, to cover recent conflicts, and as a result, the Club now has two distinct echelons:

A Echelon - Temperate: 1970 - 1991. This covers the Cold War period West Germany.
B Echelon - Desert: 1990 - 2007. This covers Gulf War 1 & 2, and Afghanistan.

The display represented by the Echelon Temperate, is a Field Unit harbour area, from 28 Amphibious Engineer Regiment based at Hemeln in West Germany, operational - somewhere in Germany, during the 1980's, with the appropriate vehicles, uniforms and equipment.

The display represented by Echelon Desert, is an Op Granby, Recce Troop harbour area, Iraq 1991, also with the appropriate uniforms, vehicles and equipment.
