BAOR Living History Group

Crusader 80 BAOR Living History Group was formed in January 2008 to promote the preservation of British Army vehicles, uniforms and equipment, from the “Cold War” period of 1971 – 1991 British Army of the Rhine, Germany.

The display represented by the group, is a REME Field Workshop unit, part of 28 Amphibious Engineer Regiment based at Hemeln in West Germany operational - somewhere in Germany, during the 1980's, with the appropriate vehicles, uniforms and equipment.

The display is a working display, any members vehicle requiring attention is worked on during the show by our mechanics and fitters (mostly ex-REME) as part of the display in the "workshop" tent.

We are looking for members with vehicles that can be badged REME or Royal Engineers: Land Rovers, Trucks, Armour, (check the "28 Amphibious Engineer Regiment Vehicles and Equipment" page), who can commit to a "Cold War" living history group at 5 shows per year. Send us an email, and find out if you could add to our display.
